Testimonials

NCAF&E has always been important to me as an event coordinator. However, during this pandemic it has been my lifeline. Listening to and learning from other event directors has been priceless. Having friends to lean on as I’ve had to make difficult decisions this year has helped me keep my sanity. Membership in NCAF&E has been more important during this turbulent time than ever. - Theresa Mathis, City of Wilson and NC Whirligig Festival

Simply put, I make my living as a performing artist with a focus audience of children and families, so performing at festivals throughout my home state of North Carolina is imperative to my business model. Over the years, the contacts, friends, and colleagues I have made by being a member of the North Carolina Association of Festivals and Events family have been key to my success and well being. I heartily advocate for all performers to join! Being a member is the best investment of my marketing dollar!
- Jef Lambdin, InterACTive Theater of Jef

Being a part of NCAF&E has been very rewarding over the years allowing for many great friendships, networking, & learning opportunities. Membership in NCAF&E is an important asset as a festival, an event planner, and tourism entity learning from various festivals, events, and directors with support from those walking in your shoes.
- Olivia Dawson, Pender County Tourism

I have been a member of NCAF&E for 24 years. The knowledge I gain, connection with fellow event planners and supporting members and support from the NCAFE&E executive director and board of directors is priceless. Some of the success of the North Carolina Pickle Festival is attributed to the expertise information I receive from belonging to this organization. NCAF&E remains abreast of trends, provides problem-solving solutions and maintains communication with me via webinars, seminars, conferences and social media posts. My NCAF&E membership was invaluable when it came time to cancel the 2020 North Carolina Pickle Festival. I was one of the first festivals who had to cancel my event due to the COVID-19 pandemic and NCAF&E members threw me a lifeline of love and support and for that, I am forever grateful for this organization. - Julie R. Beck,Chairperson, North Carolina Pickle Festival, President, NCAF&E
